I’m just a lonely voice Wish I could lose myself in all the noise But if we all would rise a generation proud With a mighty song we could turn this world around... around… So… CHORUS 2 Fill my days with blessed unrest And my nights with dreams of justice Make me a vessel for the turning of the tide BRIDGE Ancestors all behind And before me every child I bring the power of a long unbroken line… VERSE 3 So when our time is through I want to know We did what we came to do for the Future Ones So in our darkest days may we all be strong And give our lives so life may go on CHORUS 3 Fill my days with blessed unrest And my nights with dreams of justice Make me a vessel… Fill my days with blessed unrest And my nights with dreams of justice Make me a vessel for the turning of the tide Fill my days with blessed unrest And my nights with dreams of justice Make me a vessel for the turning of the tide Fill my days with blessed unrest And my nights with dreams of justice Make me a vessel for the turning of the tide

VERSE 1 Morning you woke with pounding heart And body paralyzed Silently screaming through lungs of stone Remembering a world on fire… There were rising seas, air too thick to breathe Nations marching to their doom There were thundering sounds, and mushroom clouds And the battlefield filled every womb CHORUS 1 But it was just a dream Just a dream Can you see the morning star arising? What a blessing What a blessing To wake up with time still left, to turn the tide To turn the tide VERSE 2 Better to end it than suffer through The sadness and the pain So you swallowed the poison and mercy you prayed, “Take me back from where I came” As the potion took hold and the world grew cold You screamed, “this is not my fate!” But it filled your bones and your lungs of stone And you knew it was too late CHORUS 2 But it was just a dream Just a dream Can you see the morning star arising? What a blessing What a blessing To wake up with time still left, to turn the tide To turn the tide To turn the tide VERSE 3 So why, birdsong? And why, photons? Why, sweet breeze? And why, galaxies? And why through the seas did your ancestors rise? And why through the struggle, the will to survive? And why did they pass on this sorrow and laughter, And the power to dream the next great chapter? And why do the walls seem to suddenly fall? And why does the arc bend to justice at all? And why through the concrete do flowers now bloom? And why did we awaken not a moment too soon CHORUS 3 From the dream To see the morning star arising? What a blessing What a blessing To wake up And there’s still time

VERSE 1 They say we choose our families Long before we are born Friends and adversaries To help us learn All that we came to learn VERSE 2 They say we write our story In the stars, before we take our form Reminders on the journey Of who we are So we may finally return CHORUS 1 Do you think we have? Do you think it’s true? Could you have chosen me? Could I have chosen you? Are we here to lead Each other home again? Could we finally Remember how The story ends? Could we have chosen this…? VERSE 3 They say we choose a question We can’t recall once we arrive A whisper in the distance Calling softly For us to answer with our lives CHORUS 2 BRIDGE They say we chose this moment When the world was crashing down They say we came to rise With swords of love and awakened eyes Our finest hour Coming ‘round CHORUS 3 <2x

VERSE 1 What makes the green grow? What turns the seasons? What is the reason The world goes ‘round? What is the mystery So deep inside us Turning silence into sound? CHORUS I have a vision Of all the children Finding their mission In the Great Design All of us building So they’ll be living A circle of giving in their time VERSE 2 What turns our eyes away From our own neighbor When from their labor, they Find no reward? What does our heart say When they cry mercy When they beg shelter from the storm? CHORUS VERSE 3 To all beside us And all behind us May you remind us From where we’ve come And those not yet with us Oh won’t you give us A prayer of peace, a song of freedom on our tongues CHORUS
5.
VERSE 1 When I rise I want to rise pure In the eyes of the One In the eyes of the One VERSE 2 When I speak I want to speak truth In the ears of the One In the ears of the One CHORUS Show me the song You’ve given to me Show me what longs To happen through me Show me the question I came to answer I will surrender I will surrender VERSE 2 With my hands I want to lay down the stone On the house of the One On the house of the One CHORUS 2x VERSE 3 When I lay down I want to rest in peace In the arms of the One… In the arms of the One… In the arms of the One

VERSE 1 Oh I was born with all I needed Came to this world complete and whole Though I would journey long just to see it Those three letters of my soul Like the sea in late November My steady waves have seen the storm But further down I just might remember That slow peaceful way back home CHORUS When the years are all behind me And my time has past me by Only thankfulness will find me I’ll be grateful by and by VERSE 2 I’ve had dreams and I’ve had vision And some came true by fate or chance I’ve known the sweetness of good fortune I’ve seen it all slip through my hands CHORUS VERSE 3 You’ve felt the fire of my fury You’ve seen my demons and my doubts But you see through my fear and worry Like the sun behind the clouds CHORUS

about

"Blessed Unrest: a soundtrack for social change," Zo Tobi's debut EP, is a transformative journey into the heart of social change and spiritual revival.

“If you're just starting to ‘wake up’ to the social and environmental crises in the world,” says Zo, “I want to give you inspiration to turn your passion into action... And if you’re already out there working to make a difference, I want this music to keep reminding you who you really are, and why you're doing what you're doing.”

"Blessed Unrest" was funded entirely through a groundswell of fan support, and is his first contribution of many to a greater soundtrack for social change. "We actually have the chance," Zo shares, "to be the generation that starts rebuilding our society around a reverence for one another and the whole web of life. That's an unbelievable privilege, and my hope is that this music celebrates and reminds us all of that."
